Physical Night – April 12th!

Parents, please remember that physical night is tomorrow, 4/12 at Campbell from 6:00-8:00 PM sharp. Completing the physical process tomorrow night will ensure that your student is covered for the entire 2017-18 school year. All middle and high school students needing a physical are welcome. This is not for athletes only. We shut down at 8:00 PM sharp, so please be in line well before. You will need to bring the following:   -The enrolling adult must be present with a valid ID and Insurance card. You may purchase school insurance if you do not have a current policy on your student.   -You will need a completed medical history form out of the physical packet. Packets are available in the front office during the day tomorrow, and we will have additional copies on hand tomorrow night.   -You will need $25, cash only.     Pediatric physicians, nurses, athletic trainers, and Campbell staff will be on hand to handle the rest. State Championships Results & Banquet

4 School records broken today:  Girls 200 Medley Relay, swam by Allison, Mia, Jeni, and Alexis.  500 Free broken again by Clay.  100 Breaststroke broken again by Mia.  Girls 400 Free Relay, swam by Alexis, Jeni, Sydney, and Mia. Girls 200 Medley Relay qualified as 2nd Alternate for Finals, and placed 23rd in the 200 Free Relay.  Luccas qualified for Finals in the 100 Breaststroke (GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!), and Hunter took 5th place in Diving Finals! There were 77 Teams at State and it was a packed facility.  Needless to say it was our overall best season ever with 14 total school records (out of 26) broken, several of them multiple times. Thank you to all for the hard work, dedication, sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears to make this such a special season! Your 2016-2017 Campbell Swim and Dive State Team:  Mia, Maya, Sydney, Allison, Alexis, Shadia, Jeniveve, Catherine, Cydney, Madison, Phoebe, Zoe, Hunter, Daniel, Hauke, Grant, Kellen, Luccas, Alex, Clay, Mason and our manager Eleanor! Correction in Results!

The Lady Spartans finished 2nd!!  There was a mix up in the 200 Breaststroke relay, that was fixed (via a conference) and that put our girls 2 points ahead of Duluth to secure 2nd!  NICE JOB LADIES!

Thank you everyone!  The Campbell Spartans and Lady Spartans Swim & Dive Teams had their most successful season ever.  We couldn’t be more proud of what each and every athlete has done over the season to make it so special.  As we gear up for the State Championships we want to say thank you to any one that was a timer, gate worker, runner, announcer, worked the dive table, concessions worker, or any volunteer who helped pitch in to make the 2016-2017 season run smoothly.  We know your time is valuable and we appreciate your willingness to help. Next, thank you the to Booster Club Board!  Rebecca, Traci, Sue, Sherry, Christine, Lisa, Meredith, Lesley, along with some of your spouses, were the well oiled machine working tirelessly for the success of the program.  From dragging coolers, tables, cooking, and general planning, we all truly appreciate your time and sacrifice to run the Booster Club Board so efficiently. Finally, thank you to our Seniors:  Cydney, Erin, Jewel, Alex, Catherine, Angelica, Maya, Gigi, Isabel, Elizabeth, Mia, Sydney, Nicola, Teresita, Nico, Jean, Roberto, and Chris.  It’s been a great run over the years and we all will miss you.  This is an extremely special group and none like any before.  Thanks for a great Senior Relay to set the tone for years to come, your coaches just don’t dive in for anyone! Finals Results!

At Saturday’s Swimming Finals, another 2 school Records were broken, and 3 Records from Friday were again broken!  Bringing a total of 11 New School Records from the Meet. Campbell Records broken Saturday were: The Lady Spartans 200 Medley Relay dropped another ½ second. The Spartans 200 IM swum by Grant Brown dropped another 2.95 seconds. The Lady Spartans 100 Free swum by Mia Price dropped another ½ second. The Spartans 100 Breaststroke was reset by Luccas Shang. The Lady Spartans 400 Free Relay swum by Maya Hughes, Jeniveve Vaia, Sydney Reynolds, and Alexis Williams dropped the Record by 4.84 seconds. At Thursday’s Diving Championships, Hunter Seibert took 2nd place and set a new school record!  Congrats Hunter! Campbell history was made Friday night in that the A & B Relays for the Lady Spartans 200 Medley, 200 & 400 Free Relays all achieved State Qualifying times!  Congratulations to the Lady Spartans already mentioned and to Maya Hughes, Cydney Abel, Alex Cross, Carter Best, Sydney Reynolds, Catherine Garmong, Katy Perkins, Zoe Song, and Phoebe Lyons for making a significant mark on Campbell history with those relays.
